Ruling coalition comprises controversial figures: Maoist leader Bhusal

KATHMANDU: Vice Chairman of Maoist Center, Pampha Bhusal said the current ruling coalition is not pure as it possesses controversial figures.

Addressing a program in Kathmandu on Friday, she said that the ruling alliance comprises controversial leaders, and forming it was a strategic move to secure a majority.

Bhusal revealed that the coalition government was established with assurances of not conceding to disputed figures.

Without mentioning the name of the “controversial” figure, she remarked, “A new alliance has been formed. That is not pure either. Some people are controversial.”

Bhusal underscored that the ruling coalition gained recognition both nationally and internationally even though some branded it as an outcome of “external power’s” efforts.

She clarified that the alliance was forged by the parties and Nepali leaders, aiming for transformative changes in education, health, employment, and the economic sectors.
