Unified Socialist holding Secretariat meeting today

KATHMANDU: The Unified Socialist Party is holding a meeting of its Secretariat to deliberate on crucial decisions regarding the formation of a new coalition and the party’s participation in the new government.

The meeting has been called for today to discuss whether or not to join the new political alliance.

The meeting, scheduled to commence at 11 am, will not only discuss the issue of joining the alliance but also deliberate on the prospect of the party’s involvement in the government.

It may be noted that the Chairman of the Unified Socialist, Madhav Kumar Nepal, on Tuesday advocated for left unity in a bid to join the government.

During a meeting at his residence with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli, Unified Socialist Chairman Nepal expressed his party’s stance on government participation, emphasizing that they would consider joining only if the left parties united.
