Maoist Center delays ministerial claims amid coalition dynamics

KATHMANDU: The CPN (Maoist Center) has yet to finalize its demands for ministerial allocations within the newly formed coalition government.

Dev Gurung, the party’s general secretary, stated that they are still deliberating on staking their claim to specific ministerial portfolios.

“We are considering the needs of all coalition members as their numbers increase. Hence, we are still in the process of deciding our demands for ministerial allocation,” Gurung remarked.

Furthermore, Gurung mentioned the potential inclusion of CPN (Unified Socialist) and Loktantrik Samajbadi Party into the government.

“We anticipate securing four ministerial positions, with a keen interest in the Finance and Law Ministries,” Gurung added.
