NC withdraws support from Karnali Province government

KATHMANDU: In the wake of the dissolution of its alliance with CPN (Maoist Center), Nepali Congress has decided to withdraw its support from the government in Karnali Province.

As a result, three ministers from the party in the provincial assembly have tendered their resignations. The party currently holds 14 seats in the assembly.

The outgoing ministers include Finance Minister Bedh Raj Singh, Minister for Social Development Khadka Bahadur Pokharel, and Tourism Minister Krishna Kumar BC.

This move comes after CPN (Maoist Center) formed a new coalition with CPN-UML, JSP, and RSP, thereby breaking the alliance led by Nepali Congress.
