PM Dahal postpones meeting of ruling coalition

Calls meeting of CPN-UML, Maoist Center, RSP and JSP in Baluwatar

KATHMANDU: In a surprising turn of events, the eagerly-anticipated meeting of the ruling coalition has been postponed by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda.

The scheduled meeting of the ruling alliance, which included discussions among key political players, has been put on hold.

Sources from Baluwatar stated that Prime Minister Dahal, following the postponement of the coalition meeting, called for a separate meeting involving parties, including CPN-UML, Rastriya Swatantra Party, and Janata Samajwadi Party.

This unexpected development adds a layer of intrigue to the political landscape.

Insiders suggest that a meeting is in the pipeline at Baluwatar, where prominent parties, including Maoist Center, CPN-UML, RSP, and JSP, are expected to engage in discussions.

The outcome of this impending meeting could potentially reshape the country’s political dynamics.

This shift in plans follows a recent agreement reached on Sunday evening, signaling the formation of a new alliance.
