Surge in tourist arrivals: 97,426 tourists arrive Nepal via air routes in February



KATHMANDU: With the commencement of tourist arrivals, the influx of foreign visitors to Nepal has seen a significant rise.

According to the Nepal Tourism Board, a total of 97,426 tourists from various countries arrived in Nepal via air routes in February.

In the previous month of January, 79,100 tourists had visited the country.

Especially for March, April, and May, a considerable number of tourists are expected to visit Nepal for trekking, mountaineering, and other adventure activities.

Among those arriving this time, the majority, numbering 25,578, are from India.

Nine thousand one hundred eighty from China, nine thousand from the United States, four thousand seven hundred ninety-nine from Thailand, four thousand five hundred seventy-one from the United Kingdom, four thousand ninety-nine from Bangladesh, and three thousand six hundred eighty-four from Sri Lanka have also visited Nepal.
