Government-private sector collaboration a must for tourism development: NC President Deuba



CHITWAN: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has pointed out the need of collaboration between the government and private sector for the development of tourism sector.

Addressing the inaugural session of Visit Bharatpur Year 2024 organized at Narayani River Bank in Chitwan today, he underscored the need of collaboration among all sectors for tourism promotion of the country, as the country has adopted three-pillar economic policy.

The activities taking place in tourism sector, which was affected due to the coronavirus pandemic, would revive the tourism sector, he mentioned.

Also the former Prime Minister Deuba stressed, “Bharatpur Visit Year will help in country’s economic development by increasing tourists along with publicity in national and international level”, adding the incumbent government would carry out activities in tourism promotion sector.

Sharing that Bharatpur is the major tourism destination of the country, he said Bharatpur Metropolitan City has adequate infrastructures for tourism development.

Bharatpur has been established as the major economic center of the county due to bio-diversity, eco-tourism, health, agriculture and tourism development, underlined President Deuba.
