KATHMANDU: The US Embassy in Nepal has stated its commitment to promoting tourism in Nepal and supporting the country in its cultural preservation efforts nationwide.

As part of this initiative, US Ambassador to Nepal, Dean Thompson, recently “explored” stunning landscapes in Mustang, interacted with locals, and enjoyed local food.

The US Embassy has published a video of the Ambassador’s #ConversationsFromNepal in Mustang.

He hiked, visited U.S.-supported cultural preservation projects, and learned about the many historically, culturally, and religiously significant sites in the Mustang area, according to the Embassy.

“Nepal, a land of unparalleled natural beauty, is home to majestic panoramas. The diverse landscapes, along with its rich culture and warm hospitality, make it an inviting retreat for all visitors,” he stated.

Ambassador Thompson added, “Mustang is among the most captivating destinations in Nepal and has rightfully earned its reputation because of its unique geography and its role as a historical trade route.”
