Govt provides Rs 480 mln to families of 753 Nepali migrant workers

KATHMANDU: The Department of Foreign Employment has provided Rs 480 million to the families of 753 Nepali migrant workers who lost their lives in the past fiscal year.

The department has provided Rs 484.94 million to the families of 23 women and 730 men who died in the line of duty in the foreign land in the fiscal year 2075/76.

Likewise, the department has provided Rs 91, 413,699 to 335 ailing and physically injured migrant workers in financial relief.

The department has been providing the financial relief on the basis of nature and condition of ailing workers.
