Partial influence of westerly winds currently affecting Nepal: WFD

KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division (WFD) has reported a partial influence of western winds currently affecting Nepal.

As per the Division’s assessment, the weather is predominantly clear in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

This afternoon, the weather is anticipated to stay mostly clear in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while other provinces may witness partly cloudy skies.

Some high hill and Himalayan areas in Koshi and Gandaki provinces might experience light snowfall.

Tonight, the weather is expected to remain mostly clear in the remaining hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Given the potential for light snowfall in select highlands and Himalayan locales of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, the Division has urged people to exercise caution.

Daily life activities, including agriculture, health services, tourism, mountain climbing, and transportation (road and air), may be partially affected in these areas, it said.
