National Assembly meeting taking place to address key agendas

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the National Assembly under the Federal Parliament is taking place today at the Federal Parliament building, New Baneswar at 11 am.

Chairman of the National Assembly, Ganesh Timilsina is slated to apprise members regarding the correspondence received from the office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers.

This communication addresses the allocation of duties among the members of the Council of Ministers.

One notable highlight of today’s meeting is the presentation by Jayanti Devi Rai who is slated to submit the ‘Annual Report of the Legislation Management Committee, 2079-80’ before the assembly, providing insights into the committee’s activities during the mentioned period.

Adding to the agenda, Dilkumari Rawal Thapa (Parbati), Chairperson of the National Concerns and Coordination Committee, will present the ‘Study Report on the Situation of Human-Wildlife Conflict in National Parks, Wildlife Reserves and Intermediate Areas, 2080.’

Likewise, Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha is scheduled to propose the withdrawal of the Immigration Bill, 2076, in today’s NA meeting.

Furthermore, Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat is slated to present a proposal urging the Assembly to discuss the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill for the financial year 2081-82.
