Banking Offense and Punishment Bill in committee for clause-wise discussion



KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives (HoR) has sent the ‘Banking Offense and Punishment (second amendment), Bill-2080 BS to the committee for clause-wise deliberation.

A proposal put forward by Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat in the second meeting of the House today seeking consideration for clause-wise discussion on the bill in the committee was unanimously approved.

On the occasion, Speaker Debraj Ghimire had read out the letter designating work responsibility obtained from the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

Also in the meeting, President of HoR Agriculture, Cooperative and Natural Resource Committee, Dr Arzoo Deuba had tabled the committee’s report-2080 BS on the ‘Food Hygiene and Quality Bill ‘ that was originated in the National Assembly.

Next meeting of the HoR will take place at 11.00 am on February 25 (Sunday).
