KATHMANDU: CPN-UML, the main opposition party, has issued an ultimatum to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, giving him three days to dismiss Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Prakash Jwala.

Opposition parties disrupted the parliament meeting on Friday, demanding that the government address their demands.

CPN-UML has persistently called for the resignation of Minister Jwala following his implication by the investigation commission regarding the Balkumari incident.

Mahesh Bartaula, the UML whip, reiterated during the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting that the government must address the concerns raised by opposition parties in the parliament session by Falgun 6.

In addition to Minister Jwala, UML has also demanded the resignation of Health Minister Mohan Basnet, whose statement was recorded in a corruption case by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority.

Lawmaker Bartaula suggested that PM Dahal inform the next parliament meeting of the dismissal of these ministers.
