CPN-UML conducts leadership election in Kailali district



KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML, Nepal’s main opposition party, is currently conducting an election in Kailali district to select its new leader.

The voting process, which commenced earlier today, is set to continue until this afternoon.

Acting Chairman Durga Prasad Joshi, Secretary Deji Pandey, and former Provincial Secretariat member Yagya Raj Dhungana are the contenders for the leadership position.

A total of 591 representatives are participating in the election process to elect a new leader for the district.
