NC General Secretary Thapa presents organizational report in Mahasamiti meeting

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Thapa has presented a resolute organizational report, emphasizing the party’s commitment to contest future elections independently.

Thapa ensured that the party’s election symbol, the ‘tree,’ will be prominently featured on the ballot papers.

During the ongoing Mahasamiti meeting in Lalitpur, Thapa highlighted the party’s decision to contest upcoming elections autonomously, offering voters the certainty of casting their votes with the distinct ‘tree’ symbol.

“The victories achieved through coalition candidacy are not cause for celebration. Based on our past electoral experiences and feedback from leaders, cadres, and well-wishers, it is evident that they prefer to cast their votes using the NC election symbol,” Thapa stated.

He further emphasized that pre-election coalitions have adversely affected the party’s reputation.
