KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Gagan Thapa on Thursday presented the calendar for the party’s 15th general convention to take place by December 2025 at the party’s central committee meeting.
Thapa proposed holding ward conventions by November 2024, village and city conventions by the mid-December, and provincial and representative assembly regional conventions by mid-September 2025.
NC Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka prepared a comprehensive policy proposal covering economic, social, religious, cultural, and political issues.
This proposal will be presented and discussed at the paryt’s upcoming Mahasamiti meeting to be held at Godavari in Lalitpur from 19 to 22.
While Thapa has addressed organizational issues, and another General Secretary, Bishwa Prakash Sharma, provided insights into the current political situation.
