PM Dahal calls for unity of transformative forces

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) and Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has urged the need for transformative forces to consolidate their efforts for a common cause.

Addressing leaders from Dang and Bardiya joining the party on the occasion of the 29th “People’s War Day”, Prime Minister Dahal stressed the significance of unity among reformers to safeguard and advance the accomplishments of societal change.

Prime Minister Dahal highlighted the existence of two distinct trends in the country—one propelling change and the other attempting to reverse it.

He underscored the importance of unity among “change-makers”, emphasizing that protecting the gains achieved through sacrificial struggle requires collective action.

Chairman Dahal acknowledged an institutional integration initiative among former Maoist movement members, while also noting the individual polarization of revolutionaries.

He urged all stakeholders to unite, as the responsibility of safeguarding achievements from the “People’s War” lies with Maoist leaders and activists.

Expressing gratitude to those joining the party on this historic day, Chairman Dahal pledged to honor their contributions in political and social spheres by ensuring their proper place within the party.

Additionally, Prime Minister Dahal also addressed concerns related to environmental protection in the party statutes and documents, emphasizing the need to organize fronts dedicated to this cause.
