PM Dahal accuses Nepali Congress of betrayal

Prime Minister (PM) and Chairman of Maoist Center, Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has expressed his disappointment, stating that he felt betrayed by the Nepali Congress, the major power partner in the ruling coalition. Speaking at the party’s Central Committee meeting in Kathmandu on Monday, he highlighted the election results of Koshi Province claiming that the Nepali Congress had deceived them.

PM submits National Security Council’s report to President

Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, also the Chair of the National Security Council, presented the Council’s annual report to President Ram Chandra Paudel on Monday. Upon receiving the report, President Paudel expressed hope that the Council would consistently act with caution in promoting the interests of nationality, sovereignty, independence, integrity, and national security.

Judge Acharya transferred to Mugu following release order for Arun Chaudhary

Judge Yagya Prasad Acharya of the Kathmandu District Court, who gained controversy for ordering the release of businessman Arun Chaudhary amidst a land dispute involving the Bansbari Leather Shoe Factory, has been transferred. Chief Justice Bishwombhar Prasad Shrestha executed the transfer, relocating Judge Acharya to the Mugu District Court as of yesterday.

TU VC appointment: Lawmaker Sumana seeks PM’s views

Lawmaker Sumana Shrestha has raised concerns about the appointment of the Vice Chancellor (VC) of Tribhuvan University (TU) in a meeting of the parliamentary Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee. PMO starts follow up on implementation of PM’s directives

The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has started following up on the status of implementation of the directives Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ issued to the government ministers and secretaries during the ministry-wise review in the beginning of his second term in office. The Prime Minister Office (PMO) has written to the ministries concerned, seeking reports on the progress of implementation of directives the PM issued to various ministries for work and policy related reforms.
