Current govt hindrance to prosperous Nepal: UML leader Gyawali

KATHMANDU: Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, the Deputy General Secretary of the CPN-UML, has accused the present coalition government of being the main obstacle to achieving the lofty goals of a prosperous Nepal and has expressed dissatisfaction in various sectors across the country.

Speaking at the inauguration of the second convention of the Karnali-Kathmandu Coordination in Kathmandu, Gyawali criticized the Dahal-led government for failing in power and chair negotiations, causing disappointment in every field of the country.

“The current government has borrowed internal loans totaling Rs 147 billion since the start of the current fiscal year, plunging the employees into lower salaries,” he claimed.

He asserted that the coalition government has been unsuccessful in economic, fiscal, and governance matters, failing to instill hope among citizens and generate employment.

The deputy general secretary accused Prime Minister Dahal of delaying projects and not doing anything substantive during his visit to India.

In the program, polit bureau members Mohan Baniya, Bhairav Sundar Shrestha, central members Niraj Acharya, Chhakka Bahadur Lama, Nagendra Shahi (National), and Dal Rawal, Kalpana Thapaliya, among other leaders, addressed the gathering.
