NC President Deuba mocks lengthy speeches

KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and President of the Nepali Congress (NC), Sher Bahadur Deuba, has adopted a sarcastic tone regarding leaders delivering lengthy speeches, stating that some leaders continue to speak without an audience.

Inaugurating the party’s Kathmandu district conference on Friday, he observed that even though there might be empty seats, leaders persist in delivering speeches.

Expressing dissatisfaction with leaders who fail to allocate time to listen to others and exit the program after delivering their speeches, he emphasized that addressing a crowd exhausted from long speeches is futile.

NC President Deuba, acknowledging Kathmandu’s status as the capital city with a special message to the national and international community, urged conference participants to bring out the best through thorough discussions among party members.
