Maoist Center’s CC meeting to witness over 800 participants



KATHMANDU: More than 800 leaders are set to participate at the central committee meeting of the ruling Maoist Center, scheduled to take place in Kathmandu on Sunday and Monday.

The current Maoist Central Committee comprises 409 members, with an additional 190 serving as alternate central committee members.

Officials from all provinces, totaling 94, will also participate in the central committee meeting, reflecting the Maoists’ organizational presence across the 10 provinces they operate in.

The Maoist Center boasts three vital commissions – the Central Disciplinary Committee, Central Audit Committee, and Central Election Committee – collectively comprising 75 members.

Dor Prasad Upadhyaya, Secretary of the Maoist Central Office, shared insights into the upcoming event, stating, “Around 800 will participate in the meeting. Cards have been arranged for them.”

The meeting will take place at the Rastriya Sabhagriha at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu, he said.
