KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ also the Chairman of the Maoist Centre, issued a directive urging lawmakers from his party to actively participate in parliamentary proceedings.

The instruction was given during a meeting of the Maoist Centre Parliamentary Party held at the party office in Singha Durbar today.

Chairman Dahal emphasized the need for lawmakers to refine their roles, recognizing the upcoming presentation of crucial bills in the current parliamentary session.

Rupa Soshi Chaudhary, the Maoist Centre Whip, reported that Dahal urged all party lawmakers to play an active role in the legislative process.

The meeting also addressed various topics, including the formation of a parliamentary friendship group, the development of policy and programs, the budget for the next fiscal year, the 16th periodic plan, the parliamentary work schedule, and the coordination of parliamentary and committee meetings.
