Mother-in-law and daughter-in-law killed in Dadeldhura

DADELDHURA: Two women were killed due to suffocation while warming beside a fire at Amargadhi-1 in the district last night.

They are the mother-in-law and her daughter-in-law.

The two women who slept in the same room had burnt fire to escape from the cold. It is suspected that they died due to asphyxiation from the coal from the burning fire.

The deceased are 60-year-old Dhauli Devi Diyal and her daughter-in-law Punam Diyal, 26, of Malam, Amargadhi Municipality-1, said Kusum Nayak, the Information Officer at the District Police Office, Dadeldhura.

According to Nayak, the mother-in-law and the daughter-in-law died due to suffocation while warming beside coal fire in the room.

The two women, who were found in unconscious state, were taken to hospital this morning with the help of their family and relatives.

Doctors pronounced them dead on arrival. Police said further investigation is on in this connection.
