Unidentified group targets goldsmith in Nawalparasi gunshot attack

NAWALPARASI: A 62-year-old goldsmith in Bardghat-4, Kukurmara, Nawalparasi, fell victim to an assault by an unidentified group.

The incident occurred as Gajendra Bishwakarma, the victim, was closing his shop and heading home near Kukuramara, close to Susta Rural Municipality-1. The assailants fired a round of bullets at him during this moment.

DSP Resham Bohara reported that Bishwakarma, injured from the gunshot, is currently undergoing treatment at the Universal College of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital in Bhairahawa.

Bishwakarma’s motorcycle was discovered four kilometers away from the site of the incident.

Police are actively investigating the details surrounding this attack.
