KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress lawmaker Sunil Sharma has claimed that Arun Chaudhary was arrested in the design of Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal ‘Pracahnda’ and Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha.
Speaking to reporters after the NC parliamentary party meeting on Friday, he alleged that the government, under the leadership of Dahal, had arrested industrialists for the setting of ‘under the table’ money.
“From Min Bahadur Gurung to Arun Chaudhary, the design of the arrest is from Maoist Chairman Dahal and Home Minister Shrestha. They arrest big industrialists and households, harass them, and engage in under-the-table deals,” he claimed.
MP Sharma disclosed in the meeting that the Bansbari Leather and Shoes Factory shares were purchased openly from the free competition, as invited by the government.
During the NC parliamentary meeting, Binod Chaudhary drew attention to Arun Chaudhary’s arrest and claimed that it was directed against the industrialist family itself.
