PM Cup nears league stage conclusion with two matches today



KATHMANDU: The Prime Minister Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament 2024 is gearing up for an exciting conclusion to the league stage with the final two matches today.

At Tribhuvan University cricket ground, Gandaki Province is poised to clash with Tribhuvan Army Club, while at Mulpani cricket ground, Nepal Police Club is set to face Sudurpaschim Province.

Both matches are scheduled to commence at 9:15 am.

In the current season, Nepal Police Club has emerged as the standout team, remaining undefeated and securing the top spot on the scoreboard with 16 points after playing eight matches, already securing a spot in the finals.

Tribhuvan Army Club follows closely in second place with 12 points from eight matches, making them strong contenders for the finals.

Bagmati Province holds the third position with 12 points from nine matches, and Madhesh Province is in the fourth spot with the same points and match count.

APF is in fifth place with 10 points, followed by Sudurpaschim and Karnali Provinces in sixth and seventh positions, both accumulating eight points each.

Gandaki Province, having played eight matches with two wins, currently stands in eighth place with four points, while Lumbini, with only one win, holds the ninth position.

Koshi Province remains at the bottom of the points table.
