Experience of senior citizens is valuable: Speaker Ghimire



JHAPA: Speaker of the House of Representatives, Devraj Ghimire, has said the experience with the senior citizens would be important for taking the society forward.

Addressing a program in Banyanai of Jhapa on Wednesday, he said, “The political, social, economic experiences of the senior citizens provide us with the motivation and path to move forward.”

On the occasion, Speaker Ghimire expressed his commitment to take initiation for the development of the Sahid Netra Memorial Park at Birtamod-7.

According to him, Rs 20 million has been allocated for construction of solar fence to prevent elephants from entering the human settlements in the area, a wild elephant affected area.

On the occasion, warm clothes and blankets were distributed to 240 senior citizens.
