PM Dahal summons ruling coalition meeting

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has convened a meeting of the ruling alliance.

The meeting is likely to discuss the outcomes of the recently concluded National Assembly (NA) election.

According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the meeting is scheduled this evening.

The ruling alliance, in a united front, secured victories in 18 out of 19 seats during the NA election.

While celebrating success, the ruling coalition did face a setback in Koshi Province, where a candidate from CPN (Maoist Center) was defeated by the main opposition party, CPN-UML.
