Royal Massacre 2001 will be subject to reinvestigation: Prime Minister Dahal

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has indicated that the reinvestigation into the Royal Palace Massacre that occurred in 2001 is most likely.

During a conversation with journalists at Simara Airport in Bara on Monday afternoon, the Prime Minister revealed this possibility.

While emphasizing that the federal democratic republic has granted everyone the right to freedom, he made it clear that anyone involved in activities against the system and engaged in subversive activities does not have the right.

Prime Minister Dahal’s remark came a couple of days after former King Gyanendra Shah, in a program in Birgunj, remarked that there have been misconceptions about the tragic Royal Massacre of June 1, 2001 and his (former King’s) family has been defamed by ill-intent groups.
