KMC introduces free parking facility near Dharahara starting Sunday

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has unveiled plans to offer free parking at a designated building near Dharahara starting from this Sunday.

This initiative comes in response to the decision to restrict on-road parking in the New Road area.

In addition to the Dharahara parking facility, the KMC has already identified the Kathmandu Tower as another location where commuters can avail free parking services.

The decisions have been implemented to align with the local authorities’ efforts to manage traffic effectively.

SSP Raju Nath Pandey of the metropolitan police stated, “These decisions aim to support the local authorities’ measures and streamline traffic management.”
