Newly elected NA member Sitaula visits Shekhar Koirala’s residence

BIRATNAGAR: Newly elected National Assembly member Krishna Prasad Sitaula reached Shekhar Koirala’s residence in Biratnagar on Friday.

The Nepali Congress leader, who had faced consecutive defeats in the elections for the House of Representatives in 2074 and 2079 BS, won the post of National Assembly member from the ruling coalition in the Koshi province.

Sitaula, having experienced back-to-back defeats in the House of Representatives elections, secured victory in the National Assembly elections as a candidate from the ruling coalition.

He is reportedly considering a bid for the position of National Assembly Chairman, which is expected to become vacant soon.
