President Paudel urges leaders for complete implementation of Constitution



KATHMANDU: President Ramchandra Poudel expressed his disappointment with the public’s dissatisfaction over the incomplete implementation of the Constitution and urged political leaders to take immediate action for its implementation.

During a special program held at the Office of the President in Sheetal Niwas on the occasion of the Maghi festival, President Poudel addressed leaders and participants, emphasizing the need for a collective effort to achieve an inclusive federal democratic republic.

His appeal specifically called for the immediate enactment of laws to facilitate the implementation of the Constitution. President Poudel acknowledged the unwavering commitment of the Nepali people, stating, “I have also understood the desires of the Nepali people. They never want to lag behind. Their aspirations always move forward. Therefore, I urge all of us to come together and fulfill the people’s desire for an inclusive federal democratic republic on this day.”

President Poudel underscored the significance of Maghi, considering it a fundamental festival for the Tharu and Magar communities, as well as the entire Nepali populace. He emphasized the importance of Maghi in representing seasonal changes.

Among those present at Sheetal Niwas were Vice President Ramshahay Yadav, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, Chairman of the National Assembly Ganesh Timilsina, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, leaders of parliamentary parties, and heads of parliamentary committees, along with independent lawmakers.
