Maoist Center’s SC meeting underway in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: The meeting of the Standing Committee (SC) of the ruling CPN-Maoist Center is taking place in Kathmandu.

According to SC member Ganesh Shah, the participants are currently discussing the proposals put forth by the Statute Draft Committee at the meeting held in the party’s central office, Paris Danda, Kathmandu.

The Statute Draft Committee has recommended the formation of a 151-member Central Committee.

Additionally, the meeting is scheduled to review the party’s four-month-long special transformation campaign.

The Maoist Center has slated its statute convention for the first week of Falgun.
