Ticket distribution for forthcoming NA elections not fair: Dr. Shekhar Koirala

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader, Dr. Shekhar Koirala, has criticized the party’s ticket distribution for the National Assembly (NA) elections as unfair and unjust.

Commenting on the incident of ticket distribution in the upcoming election, Dr. Koirala expressed on Monday that the event highlighted the leadership’s inability to ensure justice and non-discrimination.

“I accept this and commit to moving forward based on advice and suggestions from my colleagues. My campaign aims for the equitable distribution of opportunities within the party,” the NC leader stated on Monday.

However, Dr. Koirala appealed to everyone to vote for the ruling coalition candidates in the election.

Out of 19 seats soon to be vacant, NC has received 10 seats in the ruling coalition’s NA-seat allocations, and Dr. Koirala’s faction has been allotted three seats from it.
