Annapurna region records 191,558 foreign visitors from 173 countries in 2023



KATHMANDU: Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) reports a remarkable milestone with 191,558 foreign nationals visiting the Annapurna region in 2023.

This surpasses the previous record of 181,000 foreign visitors in 2019.

Dr. Rabin Kadariya, the chief of the project, expressed, “A new record has been set for the number of foreign nationals visiting the Annapurna region in 2023,” noting that the majority, 97,554, were from South Asian countries.

In the same year, visitors from 173 nations explored the Annapurna region.

India led the list with 96,187 visitors, followed by France with 8,526, Germany with 7,641, America with 7,249, the UK with 7,174, and China with 6,323 visitors.

The diverse range of nationalities highlights the global allure of the breathtaking Annapurna region in Nepal.
