PPMO blacklists construction companies on Mid-hill Highway for irregularities

KATHMANDU: The Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO) has taken action by blacklisting construction companies involved in the Mid-hill Highway, imposing penalties for their alleged misconduct.

The MP-SCF-ECC JV, comprising MP Sitani and Sons led by Aditya Sitani, Surya Construction Firm Pvt Ltd led by Surya Bahadur Khadka, and Elite Construction Pvt Ltd led by Surendraraj Poudel, have been barred from participating in any public procurement process for the next three years.

This decision follows recommendations made by the Pushpalal (Mid-hill) Highway Project Directorate, Pushpalal Highway Planning Office, Parbat.

In addition to the MP-SCF-ECC JV, Bhumi Infrastructure Pvt Ltd from Morang has also faced a two-year blacklist.

This decision was prompted by a recommendation from the Pokhara Metropolitan Corporation, and the key figure associated with Bhumi Infrastructure Pvt Ltd is Bhabesh Bohora.

Persons and entities on the blacklist are prohibited from engaging in the procurement activities of any public body for the specified duration.

The Public Procurement Monitoring Office has communicated this disciplinary measure through a public notice, underscoring the severity of the consequences for companies found in violation of established regulations.
