Distrust towards government prevalent: UML leader Pokharel

BIRATNAGAR: CPN UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has asserted that dissatisfaction has emerged against the current system due to its failures in various areas.

Addressing concerns over the government’s performance at a program in Biratnagar on Tuesday, Pokharel emphasized that while distrust and distaste toward the government are prevalent, it is crucial not to conflate these sentiments with opposition to the entire system.

Pokharel pointed out that, under the current constitution, there exists the possibility for one party to secure a majority.

He urged the public to exercise discretion in choosing a robust national leadership equipped with policies and a visionary approach.

Pokharel unequivocally stated that the UML remains steadfast, especially concerning the completion of the naming process for Koshi Province through constitutional and legal channels.
