Westerly winds influencing Nepal’s weather

KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has reported the current impact of westerly winds on Nepal’s weather patterns.

Currently, skies are clear in various hilly areas, notably in Lumbini province, while the remainder of the country experiences partial cloud cover.

Additionally, some areas in the Terai region are grappling with foggy conditions.

This afternoon, Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces are expected to have partly cloudy weather, with the rest of the region maintaining generally clear conditions.

There is a likelihood of light snowfall in certain high hills and the mountainous region of Gandaki Province.

Tonight, the weather will remain clear in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

The Division has advised people to take necessary precautions to mitigate the effects of potential snowfall and dropping temperatures across the country.
