KABUL: An explosion near a gate of Kabul University in Kabul killed six people injuring at least 27 when students were waiting to take an examination on Friday, media reports have said.

No group has claimed responsibility for the blast hours after Taliban fighters exploded two car bombs outside police headquarters in Kandahar, killing at least 12.

Reports said most of the injured were students taken to hospital after the blast. An eyewitness said a vehicle caught fire after the explosion. (Agencies)
