Snowfall likely in high hills and mountainous regions

KATHMANDU: Nepal is currently experiencing the partial effects of the westerly wind, the Weather Forecasting Division said.

The weather is however generally clear in the hilly regions, with partly cloudy to normal conditions prevailing in the rest of the country.

In the afternoon, Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces will experience partly cloudy weather, while the rest of the country will enjoy generally clear conditions.

There is a likelihood of light snowfall in a few locations in the high hills and Himalayan areas of the Koshi province.

During the night, all provinces are likely to witness partly cloudy to normal weather, with clear conditions in the remaining areas of the country.

The possibility of light snowfall persists in a couple of places in the high hilly and Himalayan regions nationwide.

With a potential drop in temperature across the country, the Division has urged everyone to take necessary precautions to mitigate potential consequences.
