Ilam faces Pokhara in NSL football match today



KATHMANDU: Sporting Ilam FC and Pokhara Thunders are set to square off today in the second edition of the Nepal Super League (NSL) football tournament.

The action kicks off at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar at 5 pm.

In this encounter, both teams are determined to secure their second victory.

Currently, Pokhara stands undefeated in the ongoing league, securing 5 points and holding the fourth position in the table after three games.

Meanwhile, Ilam occupies the sixth spot with 3 points.

In their recent performances, Pokhara managed to secure draws against Lalitpur and Jhapa, along with a victory over Chitwan.

On the other hand, Ilam faced a defeat against Kathmandu and Butwal but bounced back with a win against Jhapa.

Dhangadhi currently dominates the league standings, holding the top position with 7 points from three games in the nine-team competition.

Lalitpur follows closely in second place with 6 points, while Kathmandu Rayzrs holds the third spot.
