Patan Hospital decides to offer free medicines for breast cancer patients



LALITPUR: The Patan Hospital under the Patan Academy of Health Sciences is to provide free medicines for breast cancer.

According to oncologist Dr. Arun Shahi, the hospital has decided to offer ribociclib and letrozole tablets at no cost to breast cancer patients, particularly those in the metastatic (fourth) stage.

These drugs are highly effective in the metastatic stage, widely utilized in the United States and globally recognized. They are U.S. FDA certified.

The free distribution of these drugs is exclusive to Patan Hospital. The medication course spans 21 days, and the market value of the drugs exceeds Rs 100,000, it is said.
