ISRO plans to launch Chandrayaan-2 on July 22

NEW DELHI: The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has set 2:43 pm on Monday, July 22, 2019, as a new date for the launch of Chandrayaan-2. The mission was called off three days ago owing to a technical glitch.

On July 15, amidst an air of expectancy at Srikarikota where even the President of India was present, ISRO called off the launch just 56 minutes ahead of the due date.

Scientists were tightlipped with the problem in the heavylift GSLV Mk-III rocket carrying the satellite that put a halt to the ambitious Rs 976 crore lunar mission because of the last-minute hurdle, DNA India reported.
