One killed in jeep accident in Bajura



BAJURA: A person died in a jeep accident today near Dhulachaur along the Karnali corridor of the east-north part of Bajura while another was injured.

The District Police Office, Bajura identified the deceased as Madan Sarki of around 28 years of age from Khatyad rural municipality-9 in Mugu.

The jeep (Lu 1 J 4829) en route to Kolti from Himali rural municipality met with the accident near Dhulachaur Bazar.

The injured is identified as Basant Dhami, 19, of Gaumul rural municipality-3.

Four people were on board the jeep when the accident occurred.

The driver and another passenger are unharmed in the incident.

Police have apprehended driver Dal Bahadur Lawman and investigation into the accident is underway.
