Morang to organize Trade Expo



MORANG: The Morang Industry Association is going to organize a 10-day-long trade Expo in Biratnagar.

The Expo is expected to boost the country’s economic activities, according to the Association.

The Association said that the Trade Expo would start on December 22, 2023, and conclude on January 1, 2024.

Chairman of the Association, Nabin Rijal, stated the Trade Expo would be instrumental in promoting agricultural, tourist and industrial products.

Rijal stated that goods and producers from neighboring countries India, Bangladesh and Pakistan will also participate in the Trade Expo where a total of 250 stalls would be kept.

It is said that the agricultural goods and productions of the small and cottage industries from the Sudurpaschim Province and remote areas would get the stalls for free.

The Trade Expo is expected to expand national and international markets of inter-provincial goods and services; establish business relations among national and international investors and promote the touristic destinations through promotional events.

The organizer expected that the Trade Expo would record the business of Rs 150 million and the arrival of some 400,000 visitors from Nepal and India.

The Association is organizing such a Trade Expo since 2053 BS.
