Pokhara Street Festival to be celebrated as silver jubilee



POKHARA: Pokhara Street Festival, which is organized at Lakeside of Pokhara in every English New Year, is going to be celebrated as the silver jubilee this year.

Restaurant and Bar Association Nepal (REBAN), Pokhara, organizes such festival every year to welcome English New Year.

Acting Chairperson of REBAN Pokhara, Bishwo Raj Poudel said preparation has been made to observe the street festival organized every year for the tourism promotion of Pokhara as the silver jubilee this year.

The street festival is going to be organized on three kilometers area in Lakeside with an objective of promoting Pokhara as the English New year destination for domestic and foreign tourists.

Also the festival coordinator, Poudel mentioned that this year’s street festival would be made more attractive on the occasion of silver jubilee.

The REBAN, Pokhara, organizes the festival every year under the theme ‘Eat in the streets, Enjoy in the streets’.

The organizer claimed that around 500,000 domestic and foreign tourists would visit the street festival to be organized from December 28, 2023-January 1, 2024.

Cultural program, exhibition of national and international foods, costumes of different communities, boat race, volleyball competition, concert and interaction on ‘Pokhara’s tourism development, promotion, opportunities and challenges’ would be the main attraction of the festival.
