Prasai-led ‘Rashtra Bachau Mahaabhiyan’ gears up for second-day demonstration at Tinkune

KATHMANDU: The ‘Rashtra Bachau Mahaabhiyan’ campaign, led by medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai, is poised for its second-day demonstration at Tinkune, Kathmandu, today.

According to Prasai, the campaign will persist at Tinkune and gradually expand to encompass all 77 districts until there is a change in the system. “Our campaign will endure until there is a change in the system,” stated Prasai.

The inaugural day of the campaign saw a demonstration in Balkhu on Thursday. Prasai maintains that their protest in Balkhu was infiltrated, leading to clashes that injured as many as 26 individuals and resulted in subsequent police repression.

Today’s campaign is scheduled to commence at 11:00 am.
