PM Dahal emphasizes sustainable development and collaboration



KATHMANDU: In a significant address at the 46th IFAWPCA Convention in Nepal held under the theme “Partnering in Sustainable Infrastructure”, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal highlighted the importance of building a robust and environmentally sustainable future.

The Prime Minister commended IFAWPCA for its commendable work across diverse locations, reflecting the shared commitment of nations to collaborate on common challenges. Anticipation surrounded the expected “Kathmandu Declaration” outcome, encapsulating the discussions held during the convention.

Addressing Nepal’s commitment to sustainability, the Prime Minister outlined the ambitious goal of achieving Net Zero Emission by 2045. Recognizing the construction industry’s significant contribution to greenhouse gas emissions, the Prime Minister applauded the private sector’s active role in leading green construction initiatives.

The speech emphasized the government’s commitment to implementing measures for sustainable goals and highlighted the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors. The Prime Minister reiterated the government’s dedication to resolving structural imbalances in the economy, governance, and environmental sustainability.
