Cycle tour to promote homestay



GANDAKI: A team from the ‘Cycle City’ Bhairahawa has arrived in Pokhara with the slogan of ‘Community Homestay, Our Culture and Tradition’.

The team has been visiting the lake city Pokhara every year to promote local products along with domestic and bicycle tourism on the day after Bhaitika of Tihar festival.

A 14-member team has set out on a bicycle tour from Ruppandehi Siddharth Nagar in Rupandehi with the aim of promoting Magar and Gurung homestay, said Surya Kumar Saru Magar, President of Cycle City Bhairahawa.

He said that the team reached Pokhara via Bajkot homestay in Waling and Siruvari homestay in Syangja.

The creativity of the team in promoting Nepal’s tourism sector through cycling is very positive, said local tourism entrepreneur Dilliraj Pandey.

Prior to this, the team cycled to Supadeurali in Arghakhanchi, Ranimahal in Palpa and Manungkot in Byas Municipality.
