KATHMANDU: The Secretariat of Nepal Hajj Committee has decided to extend the timeline for applying for Hajj, an annual pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia, in 2024.

According to the Secretariat, any Nepali Muslim wishing to observe the Hajj in 2024 now has the deadline to submit the application until November 26.

Earlier, the timeline was till November 8. Committee acting Chair Makbul Miyan stated that the extension was granted in response to the demand for the same.

The application form is available for download on the Secretariat’s official website, and further details regarding this sacred journey for the Muslim community will be provided by the Singha Durbar-based Secretariat.
